Pageant coaching is a great resource to take your skills to the next level and to help you become the very best pageant girl you can be. Whether you are a first-timer or a seasoned pageant girl, there is coaching available for you and your goals.
The big question is- when should I start? The answer is simple: the sooner the better
My Experience
Despite being a pageant coach myself, I have also undergone years of coaching in my pageant career. My experience training with international specialists and prestigious Indonesian academies has allowed me to witness first-hand how much coaching can support you, and change your pageant experience.
Unfortunately, I have found myself caught in situations where I have only had 3 months to prepare for my next pageant, and that left me wishing I had started preparation a lot sooner. Only succeed in winning with 8 weeks of having a finalist sash because of the previous preparation techniques and winning 2 other national crown and know what it took to win my next. Pageant coaching is not just tailored to one system, it can teach you transferable skills that you can take with you from pageant to pageant; such as interview skills, sponsorship tutorials, finding your purpose/platform, land you the dream job, hair and makeup etc, therefore I strongly encourage to start early for maximum progress.
Weekly Coaching
I would recommend weekly coaching, as this will grant us more time to cover the pageant fundamentals, weekly is ideal for close run up or pageant beginners. I can also use my extensive knowledge to advise on pageant systems best suited for your capabilities and needs. Also able to save on wardrobe, gives time to do sponsor preparation and in this means saving money.
Monthly Coaching
On the other hand, monthly coaching sessions are a convenient, and budget-friendly alternative. A once-a-month meeting will allow you to stay on track, and to set goals for the month ahead to ensure consistent progress, without the burden of the cost. This may also be more suitable for those who are not currently competing but want to remain in the loop.
Saying this, I would recommend increasing your coaching sessions in the final few weeks before your pageant. Preparation is the key to success, so by attending more sessions, we can get you to the position where you feel as prepared and confident as possible for competing.
